Chelsea to cash Sarr’s € 2m loan, pay no salary
With Porto signature confirmation Malang Sarr on a loan deal a season earlier, transfer insider Fabrizio Romano adds that Chelsea will also incur loan fees for the defender.
Romano reports that the Portuguese giants will pay a loan fee of € 2million to sign Sarr, while also fully covering the 21-year-old’s salary.
It is simply an incredible affair of the Blues, who signed the Frenchman for free on a five year contract earlier this summer.
Sarr has been fortunate enough to feature at a top European club in Porto, who will count on the center-back as an important player as he seeks to defend the league title this season.

Sarr left the boyhood club Nice this summer after his contract expired, the ace was a key first-team player upon leaving the academy ranks a few years ago.
The youngster made 19 appearances in Ligue 1 last season as Nice finished 5th in the French top flight.
Sarr is one of the most experienced center-backs in his age bracket, with 119 first-team outings for Nice.
It is clear that the defender is highly rated within the French setup having won more than 40 caps for the youth teams under 16 to 21.
Chelsea have moved wisely to immediately sanction a loan exit for the ace as they already have plenty of options at center-back to Thiago Silva, Kurt Zouma, Fikayo Tomori, Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger.
Without a doubt this is an incredible deal from the West London squad, they are already making money with a player they managed to sign for a free transfer.
